(ISC)2 Monthly Meeting - April

April's Monthly Meeting.

This month, Mike Erman will be presenting on the lost art of security engineering.

Mike was a Nuclear Reactor Operator on Submarines in the US Navy for 6 years but has spent the past 23 years doing systems and security engineering, forensics and incident response, and penetration testing in the commercial, Intelligence, and DoD communities. Mike has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Networking and holds a wide variety of certifications including OSCP, GXPN, and CISSP.

Mike also contributes back to the community by hosting a collaborative and mentoring meetup.com and community slack group called Offsec-RVA.  The group is focused on building a community where people of all skill levels and backgrounds can come and do hands on exercises, get help from their peers, and get some mentoring from professionals in the offensive security field.  It isn’t really a teaching, lecture, or drinking group, but designed to help people with their own self-learning.
