    Manager, IT Systems Infrastructure - ChemTreat

    Location: Richmond, VA

    Description

    The Manager, IT Systems Infrastructure is responsible for server, storage and database infrastructure maintenance, cloud management, support and related strategies for the company. This includes all IT related infrastructure outside of telecommunications and networks. The position will drive continuous improvement of talent, cost savings, technology and processes.

    Essential Functions
    • Lead, mentor and develop associates including performance evaluations, pay increases, disciplinary actions, development plans, hiring and terminations.
    • Work with business process owners to obtain input and build consensus on issues pertaining to key service deliverables and quality metrics.
    • Track and sustain Global critical metrics
    • Establish and document standard work for all processes.
    • Implement applicable IT-related “standard methodologies”
    • Recommend, implement and maintain enterprise-level server computing standards (hardware, storage and applications).
    • Provide recommendations and implement effective controls that minimize operating environment risks such as security-related issues, viruses and other potential harms.
    • Perform project management activities as necessary in direct oversight of large-scale projects and implementations.
    • Recommend and assist in developing business case and solutions for projects that support process improvements.
    • Maintain awareness for cost reduction opportunities/techniques and establish ways for improving service levels at the lowest possible cost.
    • Maintain knowledge and expertise of current applicable computing technologies, industry strategies and technology evolution cycles.
    • Augment technical staff in times of heavy workload providing hands on technical support when necessary.
    • Lead daily operations of Oracle production environment
    • Maintain SOX and PCI compliance by supporting internal audit activities
    • Handle daily work of on and off-shore DBA activity
    • Design and implement Disaster Recovery Plans for the enterprise globally

    Qualifications
    • BS or BA degree in an IT or engineering related field
    • Experienced level knowledge in servers, storage and databases
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience leading an IT infrastructure team within a large corporate environment
    • Experience leading enterprise-scale projects such as ERP implementations, email rollouts, hardware refreshes, VM transitions, etc.
    • Experience using Cloud Infrastructure as a service
    • Deep understanding of Microsoft Active Directory infrastructure
    • Demonstrable understanding of TCP/IP protocols and basic networking
    • Good technical knowledge of common backup strategies
    • Strong scripting experience and Linux administration experience
    • Proven experience handling datacenter technology (UPS,HVAC)
    • Microsoft Azure experience a plus
    • Spanish speaking a plus
